Stephen Ireland has been linked with a possible transfer to Everton and Stoke City, which has brought certain resentment by fans.
After a three-year flop at Aston Villa, the Villans have told the Irishman he is free to look for another club. Even though his performance has gone downhill, ever since leaving Manchester City, rumour has it that he is still approached by other Premier League clubs.
However, certain fans have made their pessimism known on Twitter as they are not convinced by his performance, such as the fact that last season he merely started nine games.
New Stoke manager, Mark Hughes, has worked with Ireland during their time at Man City and is rumoured to be keen on reuniting with the midfielder.
