Stoke and Everton played out a 1-1 Premier League draw on Tuesday night at the Britannia Stadium.

The visitors went in front on the verge of half time, as Peter Crouch put through his own net, before Cameron Jerome equalised in the second half.

Toffees boss David Moyes has seen his side go seven games unbeaten after the result, and was pleased with a point.

“Getting the first goal helped us. That’s always important,” he told Sky Sports after the game.

“We gave away a lot of free-kicks at the start of the second half and that gave them a bit of momentum.

“We couldn’t quite get that second goal. But Stoke were much better in the second half and it’s not a bad point away at Stoke.

“We’ve tried to finish the best we could in the second half of the season. I’d like to do it in the first half as well,” the Scot confessed.

The draw opens up a three-point gap between Everton and Merseyside rivals Liverpool, who were beaten by Fulham on Tuesday night.
